Fix: Check the rubber boot for tears or trapped debris and swap it if it's cracked.
Leaks at the Back
Fill-hose connections that have loosened or worn out drip every time the water valve opens.
Fix: Hand-tighten the couplings, and replace any hose that's more than five years old.
Leaks Underneath
Water pooling under the base is usually a failing drain pump or a split internal hose.
Fix: This calls for opening the cabinet — have a technician track down the internal leak.
