The self-clean cycle is meant to lock the door during its high-heat run. If it doesn't release afterward, try these steps.
Let It Cool Completely
The latch physically won't release until the interior drops back down to a safe temperature.
Fix: Give it 60 to 90 minutes after the cycle ends before expecting the door to open.
Cycle the Power
A short power interruption can reset a latch motor that's gotten stuck.
Fix: Flip the oven's breaker off for about a minute, then restore power.
Check the Latch Motor
If the door still won't release after that, the latch motor or its switch has probably failed outright.
Fix: A technician can free the door manually and replace the latch assembly.
