Maytag Washer & Dryer Error Codes

Maytag runs on Whirlpool's platform, so its error codes will look familiar if you've dealt with either brand before.

Because Maytag shares its underlying platform with Whirlpool, the code set is nearly identical. These are the ones we see the most.

Maytag Washer Codes

  • F5 E2: Door lock failing to engage.
  • F8 E1 / Lo FL: Low water fill — check the supply lines.
  • Sd / Sud: Excessive suds.

Maytag Dryer Codes

  • PF: Power interrupted during the cycle.
  • L2: Low or missing line voltage to the heating element.
