4. A Gasket That's Lost Its Seal

Once the rubber door gasket cracks or goes slack, warm room air seeps in continuously, and the compressor never gets a break trying to chase a temperature it can't reach.

Test: Shut the door on a dollar bill. If it pulls free with little resistance, the seal has failed and needs replacing.

5. A Dying Compressor

The compressor drives the entire cooling cycle. Listen for a repeated clicking every few minutes as the start relay tries and fails to kick it over — or, in later stages, dead silence where a hum should be.
