LG appliances are pretty upfront about what's wrong, flashing a specific code rather than a vague warning. Here's what the most common ones actually mean.

LG Washer Codes

  • OE: Won't drain — start with the pump filter and drain hose.
  • UE: Load imbalance — spread the laundry out evenly.
  • IE: Won't fill — check the inlet hoses and screens for blockage.
  • LE: Motor locked or overloaded — often traced to the Direct Drive sensor.

LG Dryer Codes

  • D80/D90/D95: Vent is 80–95% restricted — clear the duct as soon as possible.
  • tE: Thermistor has failed.

LG Refrigerator Codes

  • rF: Fan circuit fault.
  • dH: Defrost heater is taking too long to complete its cycle.
