KitchenAid appliances share a lot of parts with Whirlpool but layer on more sophisticated controls. Start with these checks.

Refrigerator Not Cooling Evenly

A blocked vent between the freezer and fridge sections, or a damper that's starting to fail, is a frequent cause.

Fix: Keep the vents clear of stored food and have the damper inspected if one side is consistently warmer.

Dishwasher Clean Light Blinking

A blinking clean light is signaling a stored fault code, usually related to heating or drainage.

Fix: Run through the reset sequence; if the light returns, jot down the blink pattern to help with diagnosis.

Ice Maker Issues

The water inlet valve on KRFF-series refrigerators has a known tendency to fail early.

Fix: A technician can confirm this and replace the valve.
