GE tends to use short, two-character codes across its lineup. Here are the ones that come up most across GE appliances.

GE Oven Codes

  • F2: Oven running over temperature — frequently a failed sensor.
  • F9: Door lock fault.

GE Washer Codes

  • E23: Drain pump fault.
  • E45: Door lock communication error.

GE Dishwasher Codes

  • C9 / blinking light: Wash motor or sensor fault.
  • LE: Leak detected at the base pan.
