Bosch Dishwasher Error Codes Decoded

Bosch dishwashers flag water, drain, and heating faults with specific E-codes — here's what each one is telling you.

Bosch dishwashers earn their reliable reputation, but when an E-code does show up, it points precisely to the subsystem that needs attention.

Water Supply & Drain

  • E15: Water detected in the base pan — the anti-flood float has tripped.
  • E24: Drain blockage — clean out the filter and hose.
  • E22: Filter is clogged.

Heating & Sensors

  • E09: Heating element fault.
  • E01–E02: Electronic or heating circuit fault.

What To Do First

The large majority of E15 and E24 codes come down to debris, not a genuine electronic failure.

Fix: Clean the filter, inspect the drain hose, and clear out the base pan before scheduling a service call.
